inet-relay is a program that relays incoming TCP connections to a remote server. Implemented as a transparent proxy, the program is very versatile, usable as a simple reverse proxy, a stateful NAT64 implementation, as well as allowing access to link-local addresses from non-link-local-aware applications.
inet-relay can be used as a general-purpose NAT64 relay. However, note the following points:
- inet-relay is implemented as a high-level transparent TCP proxy server, not a packet-level translator. Thus, not all protocols work with it. In particular, HTTP/S will work, but any UDP-based protocol does not work.
- You will need to route a /96 to it, like any other NAT64 translator.
inet-relay is now integrated into socketbox.
