Item #: SCP-PJIN-002
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures
SCP-PJIN-002 shall be blocked from public access and moved to Site 14. The SCP Foundation shall block any router which advertises the /48 route comprising SCP-PJIN-002-1. Anyone who has sent an email to SCP-PJIN-002 shall be given Class B amnesics.
The Foundation is investigating whether SCP-PJIN-002 could be used as a source of bananas in its cafe.
Testing on SCP-PJIN-002 shall only be permitted with Level 4 security clearance.
SCP-PJIN-002 is an SMTP server located on the IPv6 address 2a00:████:███:██::4, hereafter designated SCP-PJIN-002-1. SCP-PJIN-002 appears to be a normal Postfix installation, with the banner:
220 smtp.████████████ ESMTP Postfix (████████) EHLO peterjin.org 250-smtp.████████████ 250-PIPELINING 250-SIZE 50000000 250-VRFY 250-ETRN 250-STARTTLS 250-ENHANCEDSTATUSCODES 250-8BITMIME 250-DSN 250-SMTPUTF8 250-BANANAS 250 CHUNKING
Internet users can send email to SCP-PJIN-002 like any other email server provided that their email service supports IPv6 and the email domain has an MX record whose host points to SCP-PJIN-002-1. The server will accept mail regardless of the domain given in the RCPT TO command.
SCP-PJIN-002's effects occur whenever a user sends an email to SCP-PJIN-002 with the word "bananas" in the subject line. Upon SCP-PJIN-002 receiving the email, ██ kg of banana peels will rain on top of the person who clicked on Send. These banana peels will be designated SCP-PJIN-002-2.
SCP-PJIN-002-2 instances are ordinary banana peels that seem to have no anomalous effects on their own. However, if SCP-PJIN-002-2 instances are placed in a compost bin, then they will not decompose. Instead, a banana will grow within the SCP-PJIN-002-2 instance. These bananas do not seem to have any adverse effect upon human consumption.
